Setting Up a New Fingerprint on the S922 Device: Tutorial

Step 01

Press the Menu Button

Step 02

If it does not show “Please verify”, continue to Step
If you have an Admin password set up, it will show “Please verify” –
Start typing the Code/Pin, in this case 999999 as shown.

Step 03

After you entered the Code/Pin, Press OK.

Step 04

If you have a password, select OK with password, and Press OK. If you have a fingerprint as admin, select Fingerprint and press OK to scan.

Step 05

Enter your password and press OK, in this case – 1435.

Step 06

You are now in the MENU section. For this task, we will select User Manage and then Press OK.

Step 07

Select New User and Press OK.

Step 08

Select Select User ID and Press OK.

Step 09

It will then ask for to input User ID, this is the clock code of the
employee on Biosyn. Make sure that you enroll the code exactly as it
is added on Biosyn, then Press OK.

Step 10

Select Fingerprint, then Press OK.

Step 11

It will then ask to Save the enrolment, so remeChoose a finger, then Press OK.mber to Press OK to Save.

Step 12

Ask the employee to scan his/her finger 3 times as shown below, and let them put that
finger on the fingerprint reader once and lift up.
Press the same finger down for a second time and third time
If the finger was not successfully enrolled or already enrolled, it will show a red cross.

Step 13

If enrolled successfully, it will show a green mark as indicated. You can
enrol all 10 fingers if you want, by repeating from step 10.

Zkteco F17 Fingerprint Reader: Resetting Admin Access

Step 01

On the left side of the F17 there is a rubber flap. Open it up and find the little hole for the reset underneath the USB input. Take the end of a Paperclip and press it inside to push the reset button. The scanner will then restart.

Step 02

When the scanner is back on and the home screen appears, start pressing the Menu button fast and continuously for about 40 seconds. It will eventually just go into the Menu Section.

Now you can go and change the password for the Administrator.

Step 03

Select User Manage and then Press OK.

Step 04

Select Enroll Admin and Press OK.

Step 05

Select Enroll Pwd (Password), then Press OK.

Step 06

Scroll down to Admin and then Press OK.

Step 07

You will then be asked if it is a New Enroll which in this case is not, so Press the ESC (Escape) button.

Step 08

Then Enter the Pin Code (6 Digits) of the administrator you want to change the password for, and Press OK.

Step 09

Input the New Password and Press OK.

Step 10

Affirm the New Password, then Press OK.

Step 11

Press OK to Save.

Step 12

You will then be asked if you want to continue with the change, then Press OK

After returning to this page, simply press the ESC key repeatedly until you arrive at the Home Screen. Once there, ask the employee to enter their clock code and tap OK, then provide the new password and press OK again to complete the clock IN/OUT process.
